In the aftermath of the Kirk tragedy this country was going through a full blown revival. Church attendance was up, right wing factions that were usually infighting were coming together and morale was surprisingly high. Then Candace Owens, Ian Carroll, et al. poisoned the well. You can frame it as honest investigations into what actually happened to Kirk, but the way they've gone about it isnt even remotely honest or honorable.
