Former UNC basketball players love it. His daughter plays volleyball at UNC. The man went on a podcast and literally said he had fallen in love with Chapel Hill last year. He has an NBA title. He has also already been to UNC practices.
He WANTS to be at UNC. And you want me to hate the Michael Malone hire because...loudmouths on this app say so? Lol, no.

Sources: North Carolina intends to hire longtime NBA coach Michael Malone as the school’s next basketball coach. He’s an NBA Championship coach with the Denver Nuggets from the 2022-23 season and has won 510 games as an NBA head coach.

Coby White on his former coach Roy Williams being in attendance:
“He called me last night, told me he was coming through… obviously a legendary coach but I’ve been gone 6-7 years, for him to still reach out, our relationship is bigger than basketball. He’s helped me through a lot of tough times in my life and he continues to help me.”
