We are a business with a social purpose helping organisations to challenge inequalities and improve the social, health and economic wellbeing of communities across the UK. Our team supports clients to do this through effective research, evaluation and grant management.

We're conducting an evaluation of Fair Start Scotland, the first national rollout  of  a devolved approach to supporting long term unemployed individuals many of whom have long term health conditions. Our work has been used to refine the performance of the programme.

We were commissioned evaluate the Macmillan at Glasgow Libraries programme which provides cancer information and support services to people affected by cancer. The evaluation focused on programme development and explored how it can become financially sustainable after funding.

We carried out a youth needs assessment for the newly established Young Westminster Foundation in 2017 and were re-commissioned in 2020 to engage young people in updating the needs assessment during Covid-19. Read the full report here: bit.ly/3I1aYCd

Feedback from the funders we work with is vital to our continued improvement as an organisation, and so is feedback from grant recipients like this: The pandemic was a difficult time for many, and we’re proud of the work we did in supporting those who needed it most.

Last month we spent a fantastic afternoon in Newcastle with North of Tyne Combined Authority celebrating the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector Youth Employment Programme together with funded organisations and the young people supported through the programme.

Our report and training action plan focused on how NHS GGC can build staff skills and confidence in trauma informed practices, as well as explored the other physical and service processes required to create effective trauma informed services. 2/3

We conducted a staff training needs assessment for Trauma Informed Practice to understand the extent to which staff at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde had the knowledge and confidence to utilise trauma informed skills in their delivery of services. 1/3

We’re proud to be working with Mental Health Matters to support the development of their employability services. This has included a review of best practice in employability services for those with mental health needs and the development of a series of Case studies.

We supported the team in refining and updating the logic model and provided regular feedback to ensure that the pilot was able to respond and adapt quickly and efficiently. 3/3 bit.ly/3WGW8EM

The pilots provided a clear and obvious access point for specialist health and work services aimed at helping those at risk of losing their employment because of ill health, or those who were recently unemployed due to ill health and/or disability. 2/3
