I'll be on the ground in China for the next 17 days to get a firsthand look at the industrial explosion in humanoid robotics. The plan is to visit Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Zhejiang, Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Beijing. If you're building humanoids or embodied AI and would like to meet, I'd love to. DMs are open. Landed in Hong Kong yesterday; it's beautiful.

1/5 🚀 Thrilled to open-source OSCAR 🤖 — an action-conditioned world model for robotics, led by the visiting student in my group @wuzy2115! It generalizes across different robot embodiments with precise action controllability. All trained on a single GH200 GPU, and outperforms existing open-sourced baselines, which have larger model capacity and need more compute. Everything is public, including training data. 📄 Paper: arxiv.org/abs/2606.04463 🌐 Project: wuzy2115.github.io/oscar-project-… 💻 Code: github.com/wuzy2115/oscar… 🤗 Robot data: huggingface.co/datasets/zywu2… 🤗 Human data: huggingface.co/datasets/zywu2… 🤗 Weights: huggingface.co/zywu2115/OSCAR… #Robotics #WorldModels #AI #OpenSource

We just signed a lease for the first humanoid store in the USA! The @REK Shop. Coming to San Francisco Nob Hill in ~2 months. Shop during the day, robot fights at night.

Asked someone from the industry whether foreign investors are still interested in allocating to India. The TLDR: Interest has pretty much died out. India is seen as geopolitically exposed, especially to an oil shock. There are no real AI plays. Valuations are rich. And the rupee situation doesn't help. On top of that, investors who were sitting on gains have taken money off the table and are now looking at markets like Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Europe etc instead. He also pointed out that our LTCG/STCG structure and the increase in STT have made India less attractive compared to other markets that are seeing inflows. If we need to attract FPIs back, and we do, fixing this feels like pretty low-hanging fruit.

The story of Jadav Payeng, the man who planted one tree every day for 37 years on Majuli Island, Assam India. 🇮🇳 He has now created a forest and wildlife reserve twice the size of Central Park in New York.

@_milankovac_ I was fortunate to spend 5 months in Japan for 2 internships. My supervisor would leave his iPhone on a public table to reserve it. People would joke that a wallet would also work. One of my peers forgot his bag in a Shinkansen and the staff ensured it reached him safely.

Just spent over a month in Seoul (~22M residents) & Tokyo (~37-40M residents). For reference, Tokyo is roughly 2x NYC (!). Two things struck me the most: 1. The beauty of the sakura (cherry blossoms) this time of year — highly recommended. 2. The unbelievable level of safety in both cities. In Seoul, you can leave your phone or wallet at a coffee shop, come back hours later, and it’ll still be there. Nothing happens. In Tokyo, you see little kids walking home alone from primary school or young women strolling at 11pm by the railroad, under bridges, or through dark alleys. Without a single problem. Those drink vending machines are everywhere on sidewalks around the city, still pristine despite their age. To me, they perfectly represent a high-trust society. Nobody breaks them. Nobody steals from them. The streets are incredibly clean. If I saw 3 pieces of trash per week, that was a lot. Maybe I got lucky, but that’d be insane luck. Having lived decades in Europe and the US, this is shocking. Makes you wonder: where does such a massive gap come from? Given their enormous size, the excuse “big cities = unsafe & dirty” doesn’t hold anymore. Something very different must be at work to maintain this order and respect at that scale, for so long. It has to be cultural at the very least. But it proves it is possible.

AI is going to unlock significantly better healthcare, and integration with robotics is going to take it beyond. That’s the future I am excited about.

Wild story shared by a user about his uncle. AI can be really helpful sometimes. Credit : Reddit --- My 62-year-old uncle in India: Kidney failure (on dialysis 3x/week) Diabetes Hypertension Stroke 6 years ago Severe migraines ONLY when lying down to sleep Doctors tried: neurologists, nephrologists, brain MRI, blood thinners. Nobody could explain the positional headache pattern. I brought everything to Claude. Over several days: Claude identified the key clue everyone missed, the headaches are positional (lying down triggers them) Pulled research showing 40-57% of dialysis patients have undiagnosed sleep apnea Read his brain MRI report I uploaded, flagged relevant findings other docs overlooked Asked about snoring. Answer: loud snoring for 25 YEARS. Daily afternoon sleeping for 25 YEARS. Calculated STOP-BANG score: 6-7/8 (very high risk) Created a complete consultation brief for the pulmonologist Translated a home care plan into Gujarati (my native language) for family We got the sleep study done. Results were alarming: → Breathing stops 119 times per night → Oxygen drops to 78% (dangerously low) → 47 oxygen desaturations per hour → 28 minutes per night below safe oxygen level We put him on CPAP. Headaches gone. 25 years of loud snoring and daily exhaustion. Every doctor attributed it to "dialysis fatigue" or "age." It was sleep apnea the entire time, potentially causing his hypertension, contributing to his stroke, and definitely causing his headaches. The sleep apnea had been hiding in plain sight for 25 years, in his snoring that our family joked about, in his afternoon naps we thought were normal. Claude didn't just identify the problem. It created a structured diagnostic roadmap, explained which specialist to see first, what tests to request, what questions to ask, picked the right CPAP machine, explained every setting, and even wrote maintenance instructions in Gujarati (my native language). A ₹30,000 CPAP machine solved what years of specialist visits couldn't. AI didn't replace his doctors. But it connected dots across nephrology, neurology, pulmonology, and ENT that no single specialist was doing.
