If you played RuneScape, you have edge over everyone else when we get an inevitable nuking of the Middle East. They're going to set us back to the stone age. If you know how to use a tinderbox, do fishing, woodcutting, mining etc. etc. you'll be ahead of 99% of people who survive. Make sure you RUSH to start levelling up IRL as soon as we're all reset. ~ Dr. Axius.

Weโ€™re spending $200B+ a year on data centers to power AI. One company raised $11M, grew human brain cells on a chip, and the cells taught themselves to play a 3D shooter in a week. Cortical Labs grew 200,000 human neurons on a silicon chip and taught them to play Doom. The cells navigate, target enemies, and fire weapons in real time. Their previous game, Pong, took 18 months on older hardware. Doom took a week. An independent developer with zero biotech experience built the integration using a Python API. The neurons did the rest. That compression from 18 months to one week tells you everything about where this is going. Hereโ€™s what the โ€œcan it run Doomโ€ crowd is missing: each CL1 unit costs $35,000. A full 30-unit server rack draws 850 to 1,000 watts total. Your brain runs on 20 watts. A single GPU cluster training an LLM can draw megawatts. The energy economics of biological compute are orders of magnitude better than silicon, and that gap scales. The investor list tells you whoโ€™s paying attention. Horizons Ventures, Blackbird, and In-Q-Tel, the CIAโ€™s venture arm. In-Q-Tel doesnโ€™t fund science projects. They fund intelligence infrastructure. 115 units started shipping in 2025. Cortical Labs is now selling โ€œWetware-as-a-Serviceโ€ through the Cortical Cloud. Developers can deploy code to living neurons remotely without touching a lab. Theyโ€™re pricing access at the level of a software subscription while the hardware runs on real human brain cells derived from adult skin and blood samples. The Doom demo is marketing. The platform play is a bet that biological neurons will eventually outperform silicon at exactly the tasks AI struggles with most: real-time adaptation under uncertainty, learning from minimal data, and processing ambiguity without brute-force compute. The question was never โ€œcan it run Doom.โ€ The question is what happens when it can run everything else.

Probably one of the most severe flushes Iโ€™ve ever seen on alts, I didnโ€™t even imagine alts had this much leverage in them. It feels like someone got hit very hard and will see a large body float to the surface soon, reminds me a little of summer 2021. Good reminder to myself to own things that I am actually bullish on, and not things I am trying to shift on momentum. Some charts look like theyโ€™ll never recover, whereas some things look buyable for the first time in a while. When everyone is making hilarious amounts of money I am always tempted to start using leverage again. It is almost impossible to fight the feeling that youโ€™re not making enough, or everyone else is outpacing you. Good reminder that fighting that feeling and avoid the wipeouts is worth it in the end. Check on your friends, likely a bad day for many. Personally, am concentrating my bags into the things I am happy to own for the next few years, and shedding the fat. Realised I own some assets based on not wanting to miss out, rather than on some actual thesis. Days like today are much easier for me if I think my bags will bounce back, and much worse if Iโ€™m losing money owning things I donโ€™t even believe in. Donโ€™t let a leverage blowup dictate your long-term views. The future is bright, good things to come, patience is rewarded. ๅตใฎๅพŒ

No matter how much money I eventually get in life I canโ€™t ever see myself finding interest in luxury goods. Itโ€™s the same thing but you just have a fear youโ€™ll break it, lose it, damage it, have it stolen etc. Casio > Cartier Mazda > Maserati Backpack > Berken
