personally this doesnt bother me that much, and if i avoided every shoujo that had covers like this i would miss out on some great stories 🤷‍♀️ also i think across all the magazines the ML solo cover isn't as common everywhere

I genuinely think it’s time Peppy and Slippy became playable in smash. They’re arguably the most iconic Nintendo characters not yet playable (alongside Toad & Dixie Kong). Yeah they wouldn’t be that unique, but 2 more lower effort characters is fine. They’re arguably overdue.
