@ZachWLambert @accord2andrea Your first post already conceded that what schools teach can and will influence the worldview and opinion of future adults and voters. All education is indoctrination.

If you’re a Christian genuinely wondering why it’s bad for the state of Texas to require Bible study in public schools, imagine how you’d feel if your family lived in New York City and Mamdani required Quran study in public schools.

"Imagine if people who hate you and want you dead were in charge of all the institutions that shape public opinion and mold future generations of citizens in society.” Yeah, I don’t have to imagine that. This is already happening. It’s incredible watching conservatives repeatedly make this argument without realizing that it completely dismantles their pursuit of metaphysical neutrality. Nothing is ever neutral. Christians have no obligation to treat Christianity and Islam as equally legitimate belief systems to organize society around any more than ancient Athens had an obligation to treat Hellenism and the Persian imperial cult as interchangeable belief systems. So if we’re going to concede the obvious here that state institutions shape public opinion, why on earth would we not want to control them and shape public opinion in accordance with our worldview instead of the worldview of someone like Mamdani?

Men don’t want to get married anymore because of how bad a deal it is for them so they’re just changing the laws to make it so that girlfriends can take your stuff without even having to be married to you.
Bobby@Bobbythirdway

This is the next frontier of feminism, and men aren’t paying attention. Marriage laws for unmarried couples are being implemented across the western world — from Washington state, to Canada, to Australia, to the UK.

STUDENTS STAGE FIRST EVER 'PROTEST TAN' IN PARLIAMENTSQUARE TO HIGHLIGHT CLIMATE CRISIS Two students have staged what is believed to be the first ever "protest tan" inParliament Square today, lying down in the sweltering heat to draw attention to the growing threat of extreme heatwaves caused by the climate crisis.Leo Marks, 24, and Lily Buckley, 22, took it upon themselves to occupy one ofLondon's most iconic political spaces in a deliberately peaceful demonstration, using their own bodies and the punishing sun as the medium for their message. The pair braved the extreme heat to make their point, arguing that the veryconditions making the protest uncomfortable were proof of the urgent actionneeded from the government. "We wanted to use the heatwave itself to highlight the heatwave," said Lily. "If politicians won't act on the climate crisis, we'll sunbathe on their doorstep until they do."The action, which the students are calling a "protest tan," is intended to be as striking and accessible form of climate activism, one that requires no placards, nochanting, and no organisation, just a willingness to lie down and let the crisis peak for itself. The protest took place directly outside the Houses of Parliament, where MPs continue to debate the UK's climate commitments.

Strong overlap between "capitalism/colonialism is the only reason for strict timekeeping" and people who want to execute a revolution (which of course does not remotely depend on factors like timing and coordination of disparate forces over distance to ensure success)

sorry you’ll never convince me that the “lateness is a moral failing” isn’t rooted in colonization and capitalism, it’s CONTROL!!! and I get we live in a society blah blah blah but if it’s ur friends you know is always late tell them an earlier time or whatever but acting like it’s a moral failing is so puritanical and silly sometimes you just got to accept people as they are

@_thouros @xKnowledgeBANK 🤣 I don't think your being objective. Today's marital violence needs to be separated from the 65000 year old culture. Aboriginal Women 'apparently' occasionally would initiate violence and were victorious 🤣 Violence wasn't an acceptable community norm from what is known.
