Don’t worry, I’m sure the next 3 ‘EU resets’ will make up the difference, because you know, Brexit bad. If not that then the plaudits from being a, checks notes, net zero superpower will automagically solve all the world’s problems. Pathetic government. Liars and charlatans. Probably a first, but a post election investigation needed into the lot of them.

“Red Ed strikes again! Miliband blamed as OpenAI pulls out of £31bn investment plans over high energy costs in huge blow to Labour's bid to make Britain an 'AI superpower'” Inconceivable incompetence
Allison Pearson@AllisonPearson

Many laughed when Starmer said UK would become an AI “superpower”. AI requires huge amounts of cheap power. Mad Ed gave us the world’s most expensive electricity. Just lost us £31 Billion investment. Treason. ⁦@Ed_Milibandmol.im/a/15718965

EXCLUSIVE: Green Party local election candidate calls for "Death to England." Alfie Jay Rees, a Green Party member and candidate in this year’s local elections, standing in Thurrock, has called for "Death to Israel", "Death to America", and "Death to England". Rees, who is standing in the Tilbury St Chads ward in Thurrock, has also called for Israel to be "flattened" so that a Palestinian state can be built in its place. In the text messages, he also claimed to be part of the Green Party executive committee.

We have two modern aircraft carriers of course, but they rarely work and are not fitted with steam catapult launch systems, so the F-35B jets use huge fuel for semi-vertical take-off and landing and thus lack combat range. The few Frigates and Destroyers are not battle ready and cannot defend the carriers. Even worse, the Destroyers cannot operate in warm seas (mid-east) because electrical demand (radar + full battle stations) overloads electrical capacity unless the A/C is turned off..... A tragic comedy for an Island nation.

Congress has focused its attention on foreign censorship in the EU and Brazil. We learn this week that the UK's regulator, Ofcom, is far more aggressive, sending 200 investigative demands into the US. The UK is the greatest threat to free speech online. reclaimthenet.org/ofcom-bypassed…

Whenever I think Starmer can't be dumber, or even more amoral, the moron excels himself! He condemns Israel for targeting Hezbollah in Lebanon - that's with the support of the non-Hezbollah Lebanese government that is keen to rid its country of the Hezbollah Islamic terrorists that took it over politically and militarily 20 or more years ago. Hezbollah that has ignored the ceasefire condition that required them to evacuate the south and move north of the Litani river. Hezbollah that has dug terrorist tunnels along the southern border, from which to launch an attack on Israel of a magnitude far worse than 7 October. But he doesn't condemn years of missiles launched into Israel by Hezbollah, targeting civilians and which have been more intense and almost daily, since 8 October 2023, while Israel was still reeling from the 7 October massacre and abductions. Starmer is an amoral monster.

Good grief. How does Keir Starmer manage to be SO wrong about EVERYTHING?
Steven Swinford@Steven_Swinford

Sir Keir Starmer interview with @Peston * Says Israeli airstrikes against Lebanon are 'wrong' and should not be happening "Let me be really clear about it. They're wrong and they shouldn't be happening. That's my strong view. The question isn't a technical one of whether it's a breach of the agreement [the ceasefire] or not. [It is] actually a matter of principles as far as I'm concerned." * The UK is monitoring the US use of British bases to ensure they are not conducting "offensive" strikes 'From the get-go we've been monitoring this situation so I'm pretty clear on my own mind about what we've agreed and what the use of the bases are and that is a really important point of principle because we have to learn the lessons of Iraq' * Says he is 'fed up' with families seeing their bills rise 'because of the actions of Trump and Putin'. Argues there needs to be greater energy independence 'I'm fed up with the fact that families across the country see their bills go up and down on energy, businesses' bills go up and down on energy because of the actions of Putin or Trump across the world and saying to families across the country, saying to businesses across the country: 'we've just got to be, we've got to put up with being on the international market'.'

I can also confirm/back this from the inside! There is currently a huge divisive mentality and standards due to the penetration of the woke political agenda and weakness that has poisoned our tri services! The true reason why we won’t get involved in the Iranian conflict is not because ‘it’s not our war’ (neither was the Russia Ukraine war but we’re happy to assist there). It’s because we simply do not have the man power or capability to do so. During the last 25 years, the MOD budget has been cut exponentially and the main pillar (our armed forces) holding up our very foundations has been treated and continues to be treated like 💩. The British Military use to be such a formidable force, now it’s a complete laughing stock not even capable of filling wembley stadium and that no other country fears or takes seriously. I wouldn’t want to be made a mockery of either! There’s only one battle to be fought and that’s on our own shores! 🫡🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

🚨BREAKING: Its reported that since Keir Starmer gained power soldiers have been signing off (handing their notice in) in record numbers. British soldiers refuse to fight for starmer and his traitorous government. Can anyone blame them?

Wait til AI drops properly this year. The UK (and Europe) is light years off the US and China are. We're struggling to keep the lights on, they'll be turning on massive AI datacentres and we'll be decades behind overnight. No one realises how a bad situation is about to get much much worse.

It's depressing to be held up as an example of what not to do @Ed_Miliband talks about the UK leading the world on net zero, while the world talks about the UK as a cautionary tale... "UK serves as example of self harm resulting from aggressive targets... The Industrial Revolution that gave us the modern world started in Great Britain with coal, steel and steam power. And now the UK appears to be leading the way to deindustrialisation, thanks in no small part to crippling energy costs." @ClaireCoutinho @AndrewBowie_MP @NJ_Timothy @griffitha @cmackinlay @mattwridley @DavidGHFrost @KemiBadenoch @Keir_Starmer @energygovuk @neso_energy @Iromg @AllisonPearson @MerrynSW @EdConwaySky @afneil @mattotele energynow.ca/2026/04/commen…

And where is that money going. When this government falls, I would like to see a forensic financial investigation to establish whether there has been criminality , and to claw back money which has wrongly gone into private climate companies or the offshore bank accounts of politicians. There should also be a security investigation into the influence of China in manipulating British policy on net zero.
