But it's so much fun to watch these neanderthal's torch themselves in the public gaze. Especially when the criminal justice system routinely lets down the victims. Why have criminal charges not been brought against #BRS?
CaraMia200@CaraMia200

Again, i am forced as a lawyer to ponder how it is that parties like #Lehrmann, #Porter, #BRS etc are so eager to bring costly defamation proceedings when it is common sense, they should withdraw from public life & stop wasting court & public’s time. #Auspol

@benshapiro What special powers do you have to know how it happened? A bit of patience from all is required to get to the truth

So, just to be clear about this, Palestinian terrorists tried to fire a rocket at Israel, it fell short and hit a hospital killing hundreds of Palestinian Arabs, Hamas claimed that it was Israel...and the media immediately ran with Hamas' story. Sounds about right.

I am outraged and deeply saddened by the explosion at the Al Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza, and the terrible loss of life that resulted. Immediately upon hearing this news, I spoke with King Abdullah II of Jordan, and Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel and have directed my national security team to continue gathering information about what exactly happened. The United States stands unequivocally for the protection of civilian life during conflict and we mourn the patients, medical staff and other innocents killed or wounded in this tragedy.

@Briggs I get your point but why use the word ‘depravity’? Especially when you consider what’s going on in the rest of the world at the moment, it’s a bit tone deaf which is not good for a musician

The thing is with white people in Aus. You think Blackfullas haven’t faced this depravity before. We’ve faced it everyday. For the “No” it was a SuperBowl. For me it was Saturday.

@tanya 2 days ago the parliament could have legislated for a voice. Tomorrow it could legislate. The referendum changed nothing legally (that was part of the problem). If you want to move forward then respectfully please do your job as a government and legislate for a voice.

Today is sad for many, particularly for First Nations Australians. This isn’t the result we wanted. But it is not the end. Now, we must redouble our efforts to tackle inequality and give Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander kids a better future. That’s something I believe we can all get behind.

@Sathnam @mehdirhasan True- but does not explain why new immigrants, a large proportion who are non white people, also voted no.

@joedmoore1979 Maybe start by explaining Australian history- might provide a clue as to why people voted no

Really struggling to explain to my kids why 60% of Australians voted against providing the original owners of the unceded land we live on, the basic rights of constitutional recognition and a voice on issues that directly affect them. Seriously. What am I missing? #Referendum
