this isn’t even an equivalent comparison. to americans, fastfood is cheap and nothing special, u don’t buy it to make people happy. for a lot of filipinos, jollibee is special bc it’s a luxury. families celebrate birthdays, graduations, anniversaries at jollibee. it’s culture.

@basedhutao They said they grew up more with the KFC outside of their school so maybe that's why. I grew up with Jollibee as something that my parents would often bring me and my brother to, celebrated so many birthdays (not mine but friends/classmates) there, and etc. it's the memories
