Started building AutoPerp because I kept breaking my own rules. Not because I didn't know the rules. Because emotions. Coding away your own weaknesses hits different.

The trade I'm most proud of this week wasn't a winner. It was the one I didn't take. Confidence score came in at 4.2. Threshold is 6. Closed the chart. Patience is a position.

My bot this week: Executing the plan, no emotions, consistent sizing, perfect discipline. Me this week: Auditing every single trade wondering if it could've been better. The bot has better mental health than me.

Regime detection changed everything for me. Trending markets want breakouts and momentum. Ranging markets want mean reversion. Volatile markets want you to sit down. Same setup, different regime = completely different outcome. Context is the edge.

Just added adaptive trailing — the SL gap changes based on how volatile the asset is. SOL breathes differently to BTC. FARTCOIN breathes differently to both. Finally treating them that way. autoperp.app

Circuit breakers are not weakness. They're the most professional thing you can have. If you're down X% on the day, trading stops. Automatically. No decisions required. The traders who survive long enough to compound all have something like this.

Been staring at the confidence scorer all week. 31 consecutive trades at 9-10/10 was a red flag. Nothing scores that clean in real markets. Rewrote it from scratch. Now it scores like it should — harsh and honest. Better to find it in testing than live.
