Congratulations my dear friend and brother, @JosephOTegbe on your appointment as Minister of Power! Many think energy is just about oil & gas. No…the real choke point is metallurgy. You can’t buy a new gas turbine until 2030. Order books at GE, Siemens & Mitsubishi are full till 2029. Turbine prices have nearly tripled. Every blade is a single-crystal nickel superalloy grown in a vacuum furnace — 90 weeks, $600k a set. Only 3 companies on Earth can make them. China tried for decades and still can’t match the metallurgy. As you hit the ground running, my brother work with all stakeholders to: 1. Rehab our idle plants first (no new turbines needed) 2. Lock in long-lead spares & maintenance now 3. Massively scale renewables (solar) 4. Fix transmission & gas supply bottlenecks 5. Build local capabilities & smart global partnerships. Nigeria is rooting for you. Light up the nation!

Automate but don’t suffocate yourself. Automatic investing is great, but set it at a level that still leaves breathing room in your monthly cash flow. If your account hits zero before payday, your system is too aggressive.
