@mikevladimer Customer surveys and beta testing can help you confirm or guide your decision making. But they are not a proxy for deeply understanding the customer. For existing products, inventors need to use the product, immerse themselves in usage data and study customer anecdotes.

@mikevladimer Glad you enjoyed the interview! We cover many of the answers in the book in chapter 5. Briefly, the PR/FAQ iterative process requires that you define the problem, and collect data on things like total addressable market and opportunity for a go/no-go call.
