Damn this hits. You’re 100% right—liking a reply is basically ghosting the algorithm 😂 I started doing exactly what you said: actually replying back, asking questions, keeping the thread alive. Went from 2-3k avg impressions to 10-15k on normal tweets in like 3 weeks. The difference is actually stupid. Last deep reply convo I had was yesterday under a GoMining post—turned a 20-like reply into a 12-message chain and that tweet ended up with 42k views. Wild. Thanks for spelling this out man, needed the reminder to stop being lazy with the ❤️ and start treating replies like the cheat code they are. Who else is guilty of heart-spamming instead of talking? 👀

nobody talks about this but the way people reply to your tweets literally controls your reach. twitter's algorithm doesn't just count replies. It measures how real they are. here's what actually moves the needle: - replies that are longer than 10 words get weighted more - back and forth conversations signal quality content - replies from accounts that don't usually engage with you boost reach - quick reply time matters more than total reply count the algorithm is basically asking: are people actually talking about this or just being polite? and here's the thing most people miss. when someone drops a real reply and you just heart it, you're killing your own reach. the algorithm wanted you to respond and keep that conversation going. started treating replies like they're part of the original tweet. not just thanking people but asking follow up questions, adding new points, genuinely engaging. average reach doubled in a month. so real question: when's the last time you actually had a conversation in your replies?
