@SmaugPool I know webp-lossless and APNG are practically same file size though (at least, converted from GIF), so it was probably more the later

@SmaugPool @pool_pm I asked King, and he said it had to do with getting it all to fit on-chain, and maybe it was easier for him to convert APNG to base64 at the time. The other factor, iirc is that Discord didn't (okay, still doesn't) handle animated webp well. We wanted them to be easier to share
