They are non-cladding defects which did not meet building regs at time of construction but Gov support does not cover them. How is this fair? How can I avoid bankruptcy?

@MartinSLewis @EOCS_Official @itvMLshow This won’t work for many buildings. Half the money to fix for some. The other half of the work can’t be paid for, so work won’t get done for many many buildings.

It’s not enough (cladding only>18mtrs), huge bills for insulation/firebreaks etc., unjust to make any leaseholder to pay for any of it. <18mtrs unjust loans

@MartinSLewis @EOCS_Official @itvMLshow You MUST ask about additional funding/consumer protection for leaseholders who bought properties in good faith when they met gov regs, but now because of retrospective regulations are facing ruinous bills running into 10,000s and unable to sell/move

@MartinSLewis @itvMLshow Govt have said high rise builds most at risk but only provide funding to remove cladding. My non cladding fire defect costs (excluding cladding) are estimated to be £50k)I simply dont have this money & I’m terrified for my future. When are you going to announce full funding?

Will the government make sure that people like me do not have to pay towards any works to make our buildings safe.
