Authorities deployed around 70 officers as part of a special crackdown on ticket scalping. Investigators found that the suspects used admission wristbands to bypass security checks. They carefully loosened or removed wristbands so they could be transferred to new buyers, taking advantage of busy entry periods when staff mainly checked wristbands rather than electronic tickets. Among those arrested was a South Korean woman in her 40s who sold a ticket originally worth ₩220,000 for ₩680,000. Other suspects were found reselling tickets for ₩350,000–₩550,000. Several foreign nationals were also caught participating in the scheme, including Chinese citizens who transferred wristbands to concertgoers. All 11 offenders were fined ₩160,000 each under South Korea’s Minor Offenses Act. Police vowed to continue cracking down on ticket scalping at major concerts and sporting events.
