NUMBER ONE...
No Nigerian writer had ever risen like Wole Soyinka;
No Nigerian artist commanded greater awe and invoked deeper consciousness like Baba Fela;
No Nigerian leader had bigger exploits and inspired more aspiring leaders than Awolowo;
No Prophet of black origin performed more signs and wonders than Babalola;
No Nigerian ever impacted in the world of numbers and figures than Akintola Williams;
No Nigerian had greater input in our constitutional framework than Rotimi Williams;
No Nigerian achieved greater reckoning in the dire realm of activism than Gani Fawehinmi;
And there is no greater visionary among Nigerian Politicians than Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
What do they all have in common?
And what other category can you mention?
Good Evening Severally

@LegendaryJoe What do they all have in common? They are all of Yoruba origin. Omoluabi. @LegendaryJoe, you are an orator and historian, sir. Always a delight reading your write-up on X. When is your book coming out, sir? Happy Easter, sir

It is noteworthy that Seun Okinbaloye, having a legal background, is presumed to understand the long established distinction between literal threats and figurative expressions within both legal and communicative frameworks. The deliberate or negligent conflation of metaphorical language with actual intent raises serious concerns about interpretation standards in public discourse.
In law and linguistics, context is everything. The statement attributed to Nyesom Wike has already been clarified as hyperbolic and metaphorical, not constituting a real or actionable threat. Indeed, official clarification emphasized that the remark was an expression of frustration, not an intention to inflict harm. Mischaracterizing such language, especially after explicit clarification, risks distorting facts and manufacturing controversy where none legally exists.
Therefore, the persistent misinterpretation and weaponization of the word “shooting” in this context is not only intellectually dishonest but potentially defamatory in nature. Public commentary must be guided by reason, context, and legal accuracy, not selective outrage or deliberate distortion.
Keep doing your good work, Wike and may God continue to direct your steps and may your next level of leadership be greater and more impactful than where you are today.

@fkeyamo Wise advice: "Never interrupt your opponents when he is making mistakes"

The David Mark’s faction of the ADC really think they can use emotional reasoning and blackmail to bluff their way out of a purely legal conundrum they brought upon themselves. Unfortunately for them, law does not admit of sentiment. Decisions are based on facts, evidence, and the interpretation of laws, rather than on sympathy, emotion or political considerations.
All those who are arguing about ‘status quo ante bellum’ are dispensing their time and energy chasing shadows and not the substance. This is because whether INEC recognises either faction for now is irrelevant: what is relevant is that there is a challenge regarding the take-over of the Party pending in court by a duly elected Deputy National Chairman. As long as that case remains in court, all the actions of either faction MAY end up being nugatory AFTER the deadline for nominations of candidates by INEC. The implication is that the ADC may end up having NO CANDIDATE for the election.
Therefore, instead of vilifying INEC, the ADC should rather thank INEC for this timely action of de-recognising both factions BEFORE the close of the window for nominating candidates. It has duly forewarned the Party of the danger ahead and opened a window for them to either find a new, risk-free platform or ask for accelerated hearing of the case in court, or politically settle the leadership question in the Party quickly.
To keep blaming imaginary opponents or INEC is purely mischievous: neither APC nor INEC prodded these grown adults and supposedly ‘experienced’ politicians to go and hijack an existing platform without sound legal advice and without properly sorting out every member of the leadership of that existing platform.
They say they will proceed with their congresses and Convention despite INEC’s decision and the ruling of the Court of Appeal. That is fine by us.
NEVER INTERRUPT YOUR OPPONENT WHEN HE IS MAKING A MISTAKE.

In 2019, APC was the ruling party at the centre, Wike was River State Governor. APC in River State didn't participate in the election, PDP ran un opposed....Court nullifies all APC primaries in Rivers, stops party from 2019 elections.....
Don't work yourself over, if ADC does not put their house in order, they will not be on the ballot.....

@_dinomelaye You are living in a past dreams world of result. There is a paradigm shift. You ought to know better that all things are never the same, sir. Politic is a chess play with lots of variables / odds. A lot has changed since the last presidential results in 2023, and now. Be updated.

@DeeOneAyekooto @AmodaOgunlere This is an abbreviation and blasphemous. I plead with @PeterObi to call his supporters to order in order not to incur the wrath and judgment of God. @PeterObi should be guided by Acts 12 vs 21 - 24 & Romans 1 vs 28. This is no longer politics but the beginning of a great fall

SEYI MAKINDE'S ERROR OF COMPARISON
Seyi Makinde: "What has Bola Ahmed Tinubu done that I haven’t done?"
Well, because His Excellency, Gov. Seyi Makinde is our yoruba brother, I will attend to that error of judgment with mercy in mind.
Dear Seyi Makinde, before you sit in the shade and compare yourself to the man who planted the tree, consider the following:
1. Build a political party first. Not inherit one. Not defect into one. Build one - from concrete and conviction, from ridicule and rejection.
Then have the stomach to remain in opposition for fifteen years - without hopping, jumping, galloping, or tossing yourself from platform to platform like a market woman searching for a better price
2. While building that party, raise a generation. Not followers - leaders. Councillors. Chairmen. Lawmakers. Governors. Ministers. A Vice President. A President. All from one root, one platform, one vision.
The tree that would pierce the heavens first deepens its roots in the earth. Jagaban did not just grow tall; he grew roots wide enough to lift others with him.
3. Use that same platform - the one you built with your own hands and your own sacrifice - to confront a sitting incumbent. Not a weak one. A fortified one. And win.
4. As it is clear you also nurse Presidential aspirations, sponsor your Presidential ambition on that same platform, without borrowing another man's structure or riding another man's momentum, and watch the nation answer yes.
Seyi Makinde is a competent Governor. Oyo is better for his presence. But competence in one room does not make a man the landlord of the whole house.
Talk is cheap - What the mouth says is never equal to what the hands have done.
It is in the doing that men are separated from boys.
