Shame, humiliation, followed by prostration in front of the women and their henpecked enforcers for their "redemption" is the crux of their religious experience. The women have moral authority and judge the men, but the men dare not judge the women. Being a "spiritual leader" in this environment means emphasizing as much as possible your lack of worthiness to lead. It's all an inversion of the actual gospel, and little more than frigid feminism couched in biblical language. The fruit it bears is completely rotten. What's the incentive for any man to participate?

No one denies that she is a Christian. No one denies that a Christian man MAY lawfully marry her. What we deny is the prudence of marrying her without serious consideration of the temporal consequences of her past sins.

I have three sons. They are too young to be in serious romantic relationships now, but that day is rapidly approaching. If they were to decide they did not want to date women with a promiscuous past, that would be their decision to make. I would talk to them about their decision, limiting their choices, but otherwise I would honor it. However, if they did date a fine Christian woman with a promiscuous past and she showed by her attitudes and actions that she was committed to the Lord and my son, then I would welcome her into the family with open arms. Any concern I would have would stem from her current character, not her past sins. Just as I hope anyone who evaluates me does so based on my current state, not my past sins. Sins by the way that we all have, The fact that some are debating whether to treat redeemed people as redeemed is baffling to me.

“Testimony” culture is a sick, depraved tradition in mod churches that glorifies a past life of wicked sin & defiles the consciences of young people. There’s nothing holy or good in sharing details of past depravity & degeneracy. No one is edified, just scandalized or titillated.
