“Optimize” is too vague, provide better instructions with clearer intent like “refactor”, “remove duplicated/dead/useless”, “migrate new stack” etc provide much much better results.
If you don’t know your code from the beginning, better use Claude Code because Claud Code will make you think it understands it so you feel better 😉

@mstables1991 For me the hard part of dev was always debugging and understanding why something doesn't work may be technical or in the market.

I think it lowered the barrier to starting but raised the bar for everything after that.
Anyone can generate code now.
The hard part is knowing what should be built, how it fits together, how to test it, and how to maintain it.
AI made creating easier.
It didn’t remove the need for understanding.
