🌶️🌶️🌶️- we still stand behind delay on half RIN until 2027 at the earliest. But so much for a quiet 🦃week. __________ EPA Slams Reuters Report on Imported Biofuel Incentives EPA’s frustration with outside reporting was on full display when asked about a Reuters article suggesting the administration is considering delaying proposed cuts to incentives for imported biofuels — a key piece of EPA’s June proposal that was intended to prioritize domestic production. Reuters reported refiners had pushed the administration to dial back or postpone the shift, prompting widespread speculation that EPA might be reversing course. The deputy administrator forcefully rejects that narrative. “What I can say now is that there are a lot of rumors and speculation about what we might or might not do,” he says. “We can’t prejudge the outcome of where we’re going. We’re still looking at all of the public comments.” He made it clear the agency views the Reuters report as misleading and potentially harmful to agricultural markets. “It’s very frustrating, frankly, when a news agency like Reuters comes out and spreads rumors and innuendo about where we may or may not be going,” he says. “They do it in a way that actually moves markets and causes commodity prices to be affected before we’ve even made a decision.” profarmer.com/news/agricultu…

@JarrettRenshaw with the update. "Trump administration may delay biofuel import credit cuts as refiners balk" Are folks finally listening?! Remember you can still raise the D4 mandate to 8.8B from 7.1B proposed IF this is the case, which is our preferred, constructive view. reuters.com/sustainability…

I've been debating this with many, so lets see what you all think. For 2026, would you rather have a D4 mandate as proposed of 7.1B with 50% RIN equivalence or no RIN equivalence discounts and bump the D4 mandate to 8.8B?

Ocean freight guys said there's a big push today from the major players to secure vessels for end-July / early-August loading. It’s probably for Argentina since traders have registered 8 million tons so far but have only shipped a fraction of that. The soybean flow to China is expected to remain solid.

Bigger story than RVO? Drop in RINs/gal. RD falls from 1.7→1.6, imports ~1.15–1.25. Means more SBO gallons needed = bullish. SREs? Irrelevant-20% 2025 covered via carryover. Focus now is Q4 ramp to meet tighter 2026 RVOs. AEO still outdated

🌽Safe to say funds sold a bit more CBOT #corn than expected this past week, about 99k fut&opt contracts on the net. That means as of May 13, money managers held a net short of 85k contracts, their first bearish corn view since late October.

As expected, #soyoil overreaction. Isn’t 4.6 still insanely bullish?? 🤔 1.3B YOY RIN increase = ~820MM gallons renewable fuel demand = 6B lbs feedstock demand. That’s roughly 25% of all US soy oil! Even if blend wall increases to 15 from 10, that will take months to achieve

4.65 bil gallons of BBD is a pretty punchy number if there is a greater incentive to use domestic feedstock pool. It's probably in line with total RD capacity, still very very bullish soybean oil.
