Most of the men there were not even helping, they kept making fun of the situation, saying ohh I’m a fine girl and he likes me that is why as if that is supposed to be funny, anyways I’m not letting this one go it took me years to tell my self that I didn’t deserve to be raped it took me sleepless nights and constant reminders for another man to come and remind me of my struggle and think he can just walk free. People have been killed and kidnapped on Benin-Ore road, people have been kidnapped on Ibadan-Ijebu road, that corper is still in the kidnapper’s den and that Unijos student is still being held by kidnappers. More and more and more people have been and are being killed, kidnapped, driven out of their homes on a daily basis, the government has completely remained unresponsive, like it’s none of their concern. Media house have been blacked out from reporting, the president has been more focused on campaigning and clinching a second term while his people are being killed and kidnapped daily due to his deliberate inaction. And there are bare people, real human beings, still supporting this government, knowing that they and their families could be victims tomorrow. This is so sickening, I can’t believe this is our reality, why are we in a country that so desperately wants to see us all dead?
