A man’s life is rarely destroyed in a single explosion. What really happens is liquidation through a thousand small leaks he chooses to ignore Lets discuss those small leaks that can end up costing you if you don't become a ruthless auditor of the subtle. Gentlemen, shall we?🧵

Corporations exploit this. They know we want certainty. This is how empires are built. Not by forcing you to buy one thing, but by making sure that whatever you buy, you bought it from them. It is the ultimate business hack.

Prices are set just high enough that the consumer feels empowered by choice, but the power dynamic is the same. Even our psychology is wired to fall for this since what we want isn't infinite options but the illusion of a perfect fit, and just enough options to feel in control.

Performative religion. You steal the money meant for roads. You go to church or mosque and drop 0.001% of it. The religious leaders then ask the congregation - whose children, parents, and uncles died in terrible road accidents - to pray for you. Beautiful stuff.
Emmanuel Echeta@PenTitan

As far as those involved are concerned, he's a good Muslim because he went to Mecca and performs the relevant religious rites. Same way we have useless public servants in Nigeria who are Catholic knights or church Elders, and touted to be good Christians Country wey judgement go start from

@Cr7Godbrand Once the therapist switches the camera and audits her she crashes. That tells you she didn't contract the professional to fix the anything; she just wanted an ally to indict the man. You cannot lead someone who refuses to be accountable' for their own shadow. Don't even try

women continue going to couples therapy only as long as the focus is on blaming the man. The moment the therapist starts holding her accountable for her own behavior, she loses interest or stop going altogether. It’s not necessarily that they hate accountability in general; it’s that they struggle with self-reflection and the discomfort that comes with working on their own flaws…especially within a relationship. Most women this weird mindset that, because they see the man as the stronger partner or the leader, he should tolerate certain behaviors or be responsible for fixing problems in the relationship. As a result, when they are told that they also contribute to the issue, it feels to them like the responsibility is being directed at the wrong person instead of the “head” of the relationship. That perception always create resistance to feedback or growth.
STUNNER@Cr7Godbrand

What opinion about women do you have that makes people feel like this?

It is only in Nigerian universities that a Department of Mechanical Engineering would invite a mechanic to repair the departmental generator. Engineering courses in most Nigerian universities are largely theoretical, and they keep producing graduates who cannot solve societal challenges.

Every year, new lawyers are pumped out, yet look at the level of lawlessness. We only have one arm of government now: the Executive. See the sheer number of Engineering departments in this country? Yet no roads. No light. No production. Funny funny stuff.
