Weirdly, Iranian embassy in Pretoria notified us, Ukrainian diplomats, about opening a book of condolences in memory of ayatollah Khamenei and the military leadership of Iran. I decided to respond - and do it in a public way. The letter explains why. Your Excellency, Mr. Ambassador,   Since you notified the Embassy of Ukraine of the book of condolences for deceased Ayatollah Khamenei and Iran’s military leadership, I feel compelled to remind you the following.   As military allies of the Russian Federation, the deceased leaders of Iran had on their hands the blood of thousands of Ukrainian citizens – men and women, children and elderly – killed with the help of the infamous Iran-made “Shahed” drones and other military know-how so eagerly provided to Russia by your government. Your leaders were complicit in bringing endless grief to Ukrainian civilians.   Being a person of faith, I try not to rejoice in the death of other people, even those who chose to be tormentors of my country that did nothing bad to theirs. But as someone who has spent three years to the tune of Iran-created machines of death howling every night in the sky over Kyiv and other peaceful Ukrainian cities, I cannot help but wish for every culprit to meet the justice they deserve. If not by human law, then in the face of God Almighty.   Ambassador, I do not know you personally and have no grudge against you. Sometimes good diplomats must speak for bad leaders and their policies. But I hope you understand that I won’t express condolences for someone whose death I do not mourn.   Sincerely, Dr. Olexander Scherba Ambassador

Steve Witkoff ran away when I confronted him about his financial ties to Russia. His real estate company has been bankrolled directly by a former advisor to Vladimir Putin's sovereign wealth fund. He’s been making pro russia statements for months.

Has anyone tried Suncast Polytech in Edmonton for recapping Quadtrac bogie wheels? Have heard of other outfits doing it (FGI, Force Heavy Equipment, etc), but this would be our closest option. suncast.ca/industries/far… #WestCdnAg

@BaldurBarons @NHAgriculture It did seem more stable than past couple of years. Now would be nice to see them add more features (ability for the cart tractor to see combine locations and amount of grain in hopper on an iPad/monitor, quicker updates in the FieldOps app, etc)

Gotta say. Ran intellifield this whole fall on our combines. Had the 1200 monitors. Zero disconnects. Zero issues. Not one problem. Line and map sharing flawless the whole year. Great job @NHAgriculture

The @Foodgrains wheat field has been harvested by local farmers. The Vegreville & District Food Grains Grow Project volunteers have been helping to end global hunger since 2001. An amazing day to see farmers and Ag community come together for humanity. #Thanksgiving

@BaldurBarons Do you think a person could go from 3 previous gen (CR9.90/10.90’s) to 2 new gen (CR10/11)?

Well. I don’t know how big the CR11 is. But the 10 is big. Big big big big. Didn’t get to see it in wheat. Wish we could have. But man she’s a big combine with 50 feet in front of it

@AllamFarmer @veldkampd Who is it from? One supplier told us the payback was 7 years, but when I ran the numbers myself it was twice as long as what they claimed. Other suppliers were more upfront/transparent with their numbers imo

@AllamFarmer @veldkampd I got quotes for solar a couple years ago, but the economics of it seemed pretty marginal (around 10-15 year payback). Power you generate and use onsite becomes free, but if you’re selling to the grid in the summer, and buying in the winter you still pay the transmission and

Putin must pay. It’s unthinkable to give him a bailout. A long-term plan needs global leadership. We all need to do more, but now as Canada hosts the upcoming G7 Leaders’ Summit there is a real chance to lead. nationalpost.com/opinion/opinio…

FLEXEND will reduce the vibration of the hose, which causes damage to your spreader heads and reduces the splitting and cracking of the hoses during seeding. They are made from a high wear, high flex, and high UV plastic that is expected to outlast your seeder hose.

@kowalchukfarms1 We have considered leaving it for a number of years, but have stayed in so far. The one scenario that AFSC crop insurance wouldn’t cover well would be a below average crop (right at coverage levels) coupled with a sharp drop in commodity prices. AgriStability might help there?

Can someone in the Canadian Ag industry explain to me why I should enroll in AgriStability? Have the recent changes helped? Let’s have a good discussion about the positives and negatives of this program and why only 60% of Canadian farmers participate? #CanadianAg #AgTwitter

I would like to reiterate Ukraine’s commitment to peace. None of us wants an endless war. Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Nobody wants peace more than Ukrainians. My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump’s strong leadership to get a peace that lasts. We are ready to work fast to end the war, and the first stages could be the release of prisoners and truce in the sky — ban on missiles, long-ranged drones, bombs on energy and other civilian infrastructure — and truce in the sea immediately, if Russia will do the same. Then we want to move very fast through all next stages and to work with the US to agree a strong final deal. We do really value how much America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence. And we remember the moment when things changed when President Trump provided Ukraine with Javelins. We are grateful for this. Our meeting in Washington, at the White House on Friday, did not go the way it was supposed to be. It is regrettable that it happened this way. It is time to make things right. We would like future cooperation and communication to be constructive. Regarding the agreement on minerals and security, Ukraine is ready to sign it in any time and in any convenient format. We see this agreement as a step toward greater security and solid security guarantees, and I truly hope it will work effectively.

@BaldurBarons In 1944 the Allies could have cut a deal and compromised with Hitler to “make the war end” - I’m glad they stuck it out and defeated him instead

@BaldurBarons Of course he wants the war to end - what they don’t want to do (what Trump seems to want them to do) is to just surrender to all of Russia’s demands, and become a Russian puppet state. The Ukrainian people are choosing to fight for their freedom
