My Proposals for IPL to @BCCI. 1. Get rid of the Impact Player rule. 2. 5 teams qualify for the playoffs. Knockout: 4 vs 5 Qualifier 1: 1 vs 2 Eliminator: 3 vs Winner of Knockout Qualifier 2: Loser of Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Eliminator Final: Winners of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2 3. All matches to be broadcasted & produced in native 4K cameras not upscaled 4K or 1080p. 4. Promote Associate nations: All teams should compulsorily sign one Associate player. Allow a team to field 5 overseas players in the playing XI, provided the 5th player is from an Associate nation. 5. Decide playoff and final venues like the BBL. For ex, if MI qualifies first for the final, then the final should be held at Wankhede. 6. Enhance fan engagement: Bring back Super Sixes challenges and other entertainment elements outside matches, like halftime shows similar to the NFL during weekend matches and playoffs. 7. Introduce a mid-season transfer/ Trade window. 8. Impose heavy penalties for slow over rates. Matches should not drag endlessly. 9. Standardize team identity: Make it compulsory to have different jerseys for home and away matches. Gold IPL Champions badge on Defending Champions Jersey. 10. Increase IPL prize money & awards massively which stuck for more than 10 years. Thoughts ? Do you have anything else to add ?
