People fail to recognize the emotional labor that you exert in meetings when you care so passionately about what you do. I could have 2 meetings back to back and be absolutely exhausted and it makes no sense to the outsider looking in because all I did is “attend a meeting.”

Choosing rest is definitely opting out of the value system of capitalism: hyper productivity & making ourselves constantly available to meaningless work lives. Choosing rest is good, it lays an anti-capitalist vibe that we can build on. Rest however is not inherently “resistance”
