working on the backend for an invoice generator......(the youtuber seemed to a good one)
installed mongodb, fought with the setup (still fighting), broke things, fixed some of them, broke them again......
didn't ship anything today......
but i finally feel like i'm learning how web apps actually work instead of memorizing random buzzwords.
same time tomorrow.
when i was 12 my teachers told me i couldn't code, so i am carrying that trauma till date...and tryiing the best i can

as a learner
today was one of those days where everything felt confusing until it suddenly did NOT
i finally understood what actually happens after you click a button on a website...(i knew this but structure was missinhg)
frontend → backend → database → backend → frontend.....
also learned why node.js exists. i always knew people used it but never understood why. as it turns out javascript was only meant for browsers and node lets it run on a server.
spent the rest of the day going down the rabbit hole of APIs, endpoints, webhooks, auth, jwt, cookies, sql vs nosql, mongodb...(i can say i understand them 75%)
my brain is fried but things are starting to connect and making sense.....

During my JEE era, my father and I were having a conversation on how much engineers can earn.
I was flexing that engineers can earn up to crores.
Within an hour, we had to send some goods to our customer, so we called an autorickshaw for that.
I was solving maths at that time, so the autorickshaw guy came inside, looked at my copy and asked me, " Is this a matrix multiplication?"
I said, "Yes, how do you know?" He said that because I am an engineer by profession.
That day, my father stared at me, and I just couldn't stop laughing.

Good new first: Sol is a smart, efficient, and a significant step forward. It is the same price as GPT-5.5. Also launching in the GPT-5.6 family is Terra, with 5.5-level performance at half the price.
Bad news: at the request of the US government, it is launching today in limited preview instead of the open access launch we were planning on. We are working with the government to get to general availability as fast as we can.
I think it is quite reasonable to roll out models--especially as they reach significant new levels of capability--in this way. It fits with our long-held strategy of iterative deployment. But this isn't quite the process that we think is optimal.
Now we will with the government to attempt to get to a transparent, reliable process for early access, and to ensure that as long as our safeguards work as intended we can release widely. We want to be a reliable, dependable partner that works with all stakeholders, and we also want to live by our mission of benefiting all of humanity. I believe the government shares most of our goals, and that they are overall doing a good job in a very difficult situation.
We will work as quickly as we can to get this model in your hands and we hope you will love it.

Many people don't understand the "connections game" on X!!!
A few months ago, I used to follow people with massive follower counts, and I used to interact with them in order to get a follow back.
However, now I have realised that I was totally wrong!
If I had spent that same amount of time reaching out to people who have achieved something in my domain, I would have been in a better place overall. They would have helped me get more clarity in my domain!
Therefore, whenever you are making connections, make sure you prioritise their work instead of their follower count!
