Rita Marley, her daughter Cedella Marley and Rohan Marley struggled to protect his father's legacy, likeness, and music rights after Bob Marley passed away without a will. Despite financial pressure, the family, led by his sister Cedella and mother Rita, refused a $20-$25 million offer for the rights from the Jamaican government, with Cedella stating, "If it's worth $20 million to you, it's worth much more to us".

The approach appears capable of creating public pressure on the ministry, which could function as leverage, though the speaker’s actual intention cannot be determined without further evidence.

I can think of three reasons: 1) The effect of going public without reporting could create public pressure 2)That pressure might push the ministry to act quickly 3) That resembles strategic leverage
K.A.L 🇯🇲@Lind_Sayss

I don’t understand the position of the JTA President. He was advised to report the matter to the police, that was not done. He then refuses to provide any information to the Minister or PS, labeling both as “unauthorized” and the information “confidential”. ??

On the available facts, Section 209(1) of the Customs Act is likely engaged. The actions of UHWI and the private companies (including JACDEN) in using the tax‑exempt status to import goods for private use resulted in declarations that were materially false on key points
