and that is why it looks irrational to observers. because from the outside it resembles denial. from the inside it feels like alignment. like a compass that does not care about weather. you will not always feel certain. you will not always feel strong. you will not always feel inspired. faith is what remains when the feelings fluctuate. it is the quiet refusal to quit. and the refusal is what makes it sacred.
