@thekaisymone I’m 4.5 months in the investing game. Looking at this is great motivation. Max the IRA every year. And consistent contributions 💪🏽

My portfolio hit a new high today breaking into $37k! A little background on my investing journey. I’m 31, probably had a brokerage account since 21 but unfortunately didn’t prioritize investing until last November at 30. From my irregular contributions I had about $15k invested. In November I was gifted $8k so instead of going on vacation or buying a purse like I always do a light switch went off in my head & I realized I have nothing set aside for retirement. I maxed out the $7k for my IRA & will do so until I reach retirement age. A decade of gains was lost but I’m locked in now! I’ve grown my portfolio $20k in 6 months between contributions & returns.
