Utilities aren't actually that expensive - it's all the overhead that goes along with them that makes them pricey. Only 38% of my gas bill is the actual gas, the rest is garbage administration and corporate overhead. The same thing applies for electricity, 1/2 the bill is 'line / delivery' charges. I understand that there is overhead in maintaining the infrastructure, but it seems excessive that it consists over over half the bill - they can sneak any fee in here they want and call it 'infrastructure.' Don't get me started on healthcare, which is much worse...

3rd base coach: “Let’s go! Get a good pitch to hit!” 1st base coach: “Let the ball travel!” Dad: “Remember to keep your weight back!” Grandpa: “Get that runner over!” Little bro: “Hit a bomb!” Dugout: “Don’t lunge!” “Stay thru the baseball!” “Stay short to the ball!” “Watch for the 1st pitch curveball!” “Sit fastball!” Hitter thoughts: You gotta block out the noise, have extreme focus, control the pressure and anxiety, have your plan and compete. Just writing this gave me anxiety, imagine what that young ballplayer is going through in the moment the next time you want to start barking out instructions on how to hit! 🤐 #BaseballTruth

This unemployed ice cream truck driver memorized a game show’s secret pattern and won $110,000 in one day Michael Larson from Ohio recorded episodes of the CBS show Press Your Luck on his VCR and played them back frame by frame for weeks The board everyone thought was random was actually just 5 repeating patterns Two specific squares never landed on a Whammy and always hit the highest dollar values He spent his last savings on a bus ticket to Los Angeles, auditioned, and got on the show He then went 45 consecutive spins without hitting a single Whammy CBS executives watched from the control room in horror as his winnings kept climbing past anything they’d ever seen They accused him of cheating and reviewed the footage for weeks He hadn’t broken a single rule They mailed him a check The episode was so embarrassing CBS banned it from airing It didn’t air for 19 years An ice cream man from Ohio figured out what CBS couldn’t

Just remember it took Congress 5 months to agree to $600 stimulus checks for Americans, and 8 hours to send $13.6 billion to another country and give themselves a 21% pay raise.

🚨 Big Auto Just Declared War on Your Wallet You buy a $60,000+ Cadillac or Chevy… and GM still wants to charge you every month just to use your own car. By 2028, GM plans to kill Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in all new vehicles. Navigation, music, texting, even basic connectivity? All locked behind their paid subscription service. They’ll let you own the metal… but they’ll rent you the brain. This isn’t innovation — it’s a subscription trap on wheels. You already paid for the car. Now they want a monthly fee for features that used to just work. American innovation used to mean better products. Now it means better ways to nickel-and-dime you after the sale. Who else is tired of this? Tag a car buyer who needs to see this.

We work 8 hours a day to enjoy 5 hours in the evening. We work 5 days a week to enjoy 2 days on the weekend. We work a year to enjoy 4 weeks of holiday. We work 45 years to enjoy 10 years in retirement. Then we wonder why everyone is miserable and depressed all the time.

If a monkey hoarded more bananas than it could eat, while most of the other monkeys starved, scientists would study that monkey to figure out what was wrong with it. When humans do it, we put them on the cover of Forbes.

You know what really bugs me these days? We can't own anything anymore. Everything is a subscription. Adobe, Notion, Spotify. You don't just buy things once, you keep paying every month. You literally have to pay for everything forever. Isn't anyone else bothered by this?
