In 2021-22 there were 38 female superintendents serving 42 districts now with 3 more 41 total which is significant increase from 18 my first year in 2015! @djschon @sai_iowa

There have been 45 superintendent openings in Iowa for the 22-23 school year so far. All of the final hiring decisions have been male superintendents, except for 3…so far. Of the 3 females, 2 were internal candidates. Just reporting data.
