@EthanMAldridge I would love for more book shows to have an “Artist Alley” ALA style to promote cross-pollination and show prose writers that it’s not scary. Get some ringers like Ursula Vernon and Kate Milford in there.

@dmeconis That's been my feeling with things like Brooklyn Book Fest, etc. And I sometimes see prose writers in small comic cons and artist alleys, and it never seems like quite the right audience for it. We're really missing out on something here.

Hey authors! How many of you actively try to have a table at literary conventions? I'm coming from the comic book side of the industry, where cons are a big part of the job, and I'm wondering how common that kind of promotional work is for prose writers.

@EthanMAldridge Honestly there aren’t a ton! Even the regional lit and book festivals are really set up for retailers and indie publishers to exhibit, not individual authors or creator collectives. There’s a very awkward seam in the middle.

I have had no in-person problems but edfringe has really brought the garbage trolls to all my online accounts and I’ll say - I didn’t miss this from back in the doubleclicks days. Living without the radiation of constant anonymous insults is much much better
