I agree - the powers that be are profiting from these “demographic” changes , so don’t expect them to be part of the solution. We seem to be learning this the hard way in the US. There is a trail of bodies left by scum who have multiple priors and are slated for immediate deportation; but manage to get released to strike again. My expectations as a taxpayer are pretty simplistic: defend the country and maintain civility in my community. That is the sole expectation I have for government. Unfortunately, even the n my community an innocent women, doing holiday shopping at the Barnes and Noble was stabbed to death and a few months later another woman in a neighborhood about an hour away was murdered walking her dog. By design or incompetence the social contract we expect is failing.

I agree with all of this. The sooner the better. Also, folks need to start doing things for themselves. When I was young, I babysat ( today: child care giver) , cleaned houses, cut lawns, shoveled snow and delivered 150 + papers every morning. This model builds successful citizens. No, I am not a billionaire; but, I also support my self and my family and the community. We need to reorient are priorities if we want to get out of this mess!!!!!!!
