We just set the 1st Fully Autonomous, ZERO-Intervention Cannonball Run Record from LA-NY.
In the middle of WINTER, through extreme cold, snow, ice, slush & rain, FSD drove 100% of the 3081 miles of our journey.
58 hrs, 22 min non-stop, except for charging.
FSD 14.2.2.3 is an absolute game changer for personal autonomy.
Incredibly, my Model S could have gotten to NYC faster WITHOUT us on board.
@ElonMusk was right. Once an autonomous vehicle is mature, most human input is an error.
A comedy of human errors added hours and hundreds of miles, but FSD stunned us with its consistent and comfortable behavior.
MUCH more (hilarious) detail to follow.
Thank you to my co-passengers @dackboor & Paul Pham, Tesla experts/enthusiasts who agreed to do this in the worst weather possible.
Congrats to @aelluswamy and team for this incredible step forward.
Data, pix and video coming soon.

Let’s cut to the chase - long and essential to read
We’re besieged by those who would seek to destroy our way of life
Some of them are even amongst us in the far left and far right…who foolishly view foreign autocrats as compatriots
But there’s also a real growing threat from foreign autocracies who want to change the global status quo
They want to end the current world order built on respect for national sovereignty and human rights
And they want to replace it with authoritarian spheres of influence where oppressive regimes subjugate their neighbors
That’s what all of this is about
Coming out of WW2, our greatest generation understood, in their bones, why this needed to be opposed
Half a million dead Americans were too large of a price to pay
And so they gifted us a framework for a new security architecture
Territorial wars would no longer be tolerated. War could only be conducted on very specific grounds
That’s how we’ve had no large scale wars in 80 years
Our greatest generation is now gone and their sacrifices mostly forgotten
We now look to social media messiahs that warp common sense with their serpentine logic…driven by algorithms or ignorance, they try to redefine history…create new paradigms that are sexy but ultimately false
Except it’s not all that complicated
Good men need to oppose evil in all it’s forms
Those who would start wars are those that should be destined to lose wars
Borders should remain as they are, regardless of ethnicity, lest we are doomed to repeat the 10,000 years of folly by our ancestors
If we don’t stand up to evil then that evil will eventually come for us all
I’m frequently called a neocon…I want war
But I’ve never advocated for that…
All I’ve said is that if we abandon objective morality as a principle for how the world should work, we’ll just keep repeating the same mistakes
It might not even matter…maybe this is hardwired into our DNA and conflict is our ultimate destiny
But we should at least try to maintain the world order gifted to us by our greatest generatiom
We should not tolerate Russian aggressian against Ukraine
We should not tolerate Chinese aggression against Taiwan
And we should not tolerate war waged against Israel by Hamas
We should never tolerate that aggresor if we want peace
Normalizing this type of aggression will only lead to the same historical outcome: big (sometimes world) wars
You can’t hide from it…eventually evil is as evil does
Either we all agree to respect each other’s national sovereignty or we’re destined to have world wars
Territorial aspirations never stop and they always end in war
Either we save the existing system…something that is only possible through strength
Or we are doomed to repeat a greater war
The isolationists are fools…they preach populist slogans that have no historical precedent…yet populism is popular…who doesn’t like being told what they want to hear?
But alas,
It’s not too late for us to fight for a system that has kept the peace for 80 years
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

“While it may just be a Barbie map in a Barbie world, the fact that a cartoonish, crayon-scribbled map seems to go out of its way to depict [China’s] unlawful territorial claims illustrates the pressure that Hollywood is under to please CCP censors,” Rep. Mike Gallagher (R., Wis.) chairman of the House select committee on China, told Fox News, referring to China’s Communist Party. @chairmang
