@Joachim8675309 The golden age seems gone, still there’s the need to manage systems and Puppet, imho, is the better tool at doing that. Maybe there’s a narrative to change

🚀 Inbox Zero v2 is live on Product Hunt! Self-funded. No YC or VC backing. But it's open source, so expect a YC company to clone it soon. 🤖 The v2 has a powerful AI email assistant that handles your email for you. You manage it with simple Cursor-style rules. And many other tools that will help you clean up your inbox in minutes. 🗑️ If you want to see OSS and self-funded win, give me 5 minutes of your time sharing Inbox Zero today. I will return the favour and more so. Just send me a DM. 🙏 👨‍💻 The awesome tech stack I use: @tinybird @nextjs @vercel @nextauthjs @prisma @neondatabase @loops @resend @AnthropicAI @OpenAI @shadcn @tailwindcss

The ambition to be able to install and manage every application on every OS in every mode (via native packages, upstream repos, from source, via Docker) is one step closer with Tiny Puppet 3.8 release. Check it out on the Puppet Forge forge.puppetlabs.com/modules/exampl…

@example42 Unfortunately I am not the one that decides budget for specialized support, but due the issues to do onboarding for new developers tp desktop looks promising. Will try to convince my managers if I can test it on 2023. Keep you posted.

@marloncabrera Yes , that’s not uncommon, and via tp desktop as user from cli you can only do what the user can do

@marloncabrera We can talk about that. Default tinydata expects packages source from he internet, but it’s possible, and easy, tonuse a custom tunydata module per specific apps and set there the needed sources. We can consider additional paramsnto fetch from nexus where you customize the server

@example42 Well, at work we consume open source packages and libraries (npm, python, etc) through Sonatype Nexus not directly from the internet for security reasons. So wondering if it is possible have tinydata to configure npm, pip, etc to work with Nexus on Windows 10 environment...
