Update: opened the app an hour later. Search is back. So they weren't removing it. They were holding it hostage to see how many people they could pressure into enabling Gemini. That's not an A/B test. That's a dark pattern.

Want to search your own photos? Enable Gemini first. The "Maybe later" button? Does nothing. No alternative. Just this screen.
