Another thing I identified with regard to Syd’s scarf: it’s Japanese selvedge, the same way the pants Carmy sold in the show’s first ep to save The Beef from going bankrupt are Japanese selvedge denim.

There’s much layers to this. In S1, she gets into a heated confrontation with Richie and walked out of Carmy. Four seasons later, she bids Richie good luck and goodbye for his trip to Japan, and runs back to Carmy. All of this, wearing the same scarf. 🥹

Reiterating what I said in a prev tweet: no matter how you interpret SydCarmy’s relationship, love is very much present. Love is quite is literally what the show is all about; as a driver of meaningful work, healer of wounds, and a reason for being. The Bear is a love story.
