@dalalmawad Change could have come from those who didn't vote. 41% participation way too low. This is where we need to look and the revolution needa to get organised as a change alternative not a bunch of good people in random lists. You can't replace a system with void

In other words 100B$ so far this year and 183B$ last year at the root of the inflation are actually private profits extracted from consumers. Not to mention impacts on environment & development. This is the system we live in #Oil theguardian.com/business/2022/…

Worrisome assessment "if it is to survive, the United States will have to recover its revolutionary spirit. The crises the United States now faces in its basic governmental functions are so profound that they require starting over" theguardian.com/world/2022/jan…

@LayalAFP @AFP @JOSEPHEID1 Glorifying these questionable individuals in such dramatic fashion is global media blindness at its best. Who chose them and what basis?

It's clear that the sources—and centers—of power in our world in transition are rapidly changing, and that all humans are now global actors. While wishing all a healthy New Year—let's collectively make use of these capacities to make 2022 happy & peaceful.

@LunaSafwan At every election we have played this 'nihilist' card of nothing will ever change, elections are a fraud... and what did we get? A perfectly legitimate elected mafia. Let's try the opposite for once. We have to vote

Enough w that individual liberty crap, I'd bet on science vs facebook anytime. "A separate study demonstrated that unvaccinated people were 11 times more likely to die of the disease than those who were fully jabbed. If the science of vaccination is clear, the politics are not."

1/ Bonjour, Si vous insistez à toujours mentionner qu'Haïti est le pays le plus pauvre de l'hémisphère, alors expliquez aussi que la France en est directement responsable;

For that is another conceptual reference our mind can relate to. We are exhausted, deflated, drained of so much will & strength. But we are not defeated. But for now, it may be rational to act as if we were.. It makes sense.. For now.

Late night 🧵 Making sense of senseless defeat The past year & a half of living in #Lebanon are incomparable to anything we could ever think of. Our mental repertoire really does not have the needed conceptual reference points to even begin to make sense of things. 1/10
