Flowcopter are presenting the capabilities of our heavylift Utility UAV, the FC100, to industry leaders and offshore wind operators at the 2024 Offshore Drone Challenge. The event is taking place at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Cochstedt, Germany today.

Flowcopter recently demonstrated their latest Utility UAV at the UAS Denmark Test Center at Hans Christian Andersen Airport in Odense.

@SciFi_Addict @dweekly @DroneVC Hi Dave. Thanks for the interest. Actually a hydraulic transmission is substantially lighter than an electric one. You can get 96kW motors that weigh 5.5kg in the hydraulics domain.

@dweekly @DroneVC Actually it is powered by a Internal combustion engine, through a hydraulic Drive train/Transmission you could get the same effect by swapping the Hydraulics out for a Electric transmission. and be mechanically simpler and lighter. In other words this is BS.

@josecamoessilva @DJSnM @dweekly @DroneVC @Gizmodo It's really to differentiate from electric hybrids. Yes as with an electric hybrid it will have an ICE as a prime mover.
