We paid $600 for a dumpster so my family could clean out my parents’ house, and when we showed up the next morning the thing looked like the neighborhood held a garage sale in it overnight. Someone dumped drywall, buckets, random junk, magazines, tools… the whole damn construction site. Not one piece of it was ours. So basically some random idiot saw a fresh dumpster sitting there and thought, “perfect free trash service.” Filled the entire thing to the top before we even had the chance to use it. Now our own junk is still sitting in the house because some freeloading clown decided our $600 rental was his personal landfill. I called the dumpster company thinking they’d at least work with us. Their answer? “Once it’s delivered, it’s your responsibility.” That’s it. No credit, no replacement, nothing. Apparently we’re just supposed to eat the $600 and thank the stranger who treated it like a public dump. So yeah, maybe I’m the “asshole” here, but if someone dumps their garbage in something I paid for, I shouldn’t be the one getting screwed. Either the company should replace it or start explaining why customers are expected to guard a dumpster all night like it’s a damn bank vault.

When someone ignores repeated boundaries, where does self-defense end and excessive force begin?
