@J_Edward65 @davidclowery We were able to see The Cure twice in 2023 both shows we were able to get tickets for less than 50 bucks each and in Philly the seats were amazing. Of course I’ve seen Cracker for free multiple times and never paid more than $30.

If any indie authors are willing to drive to Nashville for Galaxycon May 29th through 31, I have extra table space and can use a partner. Even if you only have one or two books and haven't done many events, it's a great opportunity to learn the ropes.

@JamesAllenMaxey I know you need to get more bang for your buck. I just can’t do the big cons anymore but we like the smaller events, and Asbury is one of our favorite places. They have a great paranormal museum. One day we will cross paths.

@guildedearlobe It's a pretty long drive for a two day event, alas. Most things I'm willing to drive 10 hours for are going to be shows like GenCon or various Galaxycons.

The actual societal nuclear bomb is going to be when quantum computing gets figured out and there is no longer any encryption. @Miss_Snuffy The reason we pay taxes is so the state can provide services that benefit society. Breakfast clubs are a huge help to many parents who need to be at work before school starts. Supporting hard-working parents is a benefit to society. End of lesson.

They are buying your votes. This isn’t about giving struggling families help. This is about ‘making mornings easier for all families’. Do we really want the state doing everything for us? What about personal responsibility? How infantilising.

@davidclowery Man, I spoke to Louie Weaver, the drummer for Petra in the 80s after a free show at a racetrack in Bucks County, Pa. when I was 14. Pretty sure I annoyed the hell out of him.
