@HerSportDotIE @PwCIreland Mad how 13 of them could be so wrong 🤣
English

Do you call it a HURL or a HURLEY?
Let’s find out what they thought at the PwC Camogie All-Stars Awards…

@RefereeLGFA @LadiesFootball @kerryladiesfoot @LKLadiesGaelic @MunsterLGFA @ArmaghLGFA @LouthLGFA @DownLGFA @UlsterLadies @ConnachtLGFA @LeinsterLGFA A harsh punishment, would a tick, and a retake if the free is taken before the referee has a chance to intervene (if not scored) be more appropriate in your opinion?

🟨🟥Rule of the Day🟥🟨
Came across this several times throughout the season. This applies to the Goalkeeper also when a penalty is being taken. I give the goalie a quick warning if shes jumping and waving. Not many know this! #LGFA #Rules #Lovewhatyoudo #Referee #girlsthatref

@gavreilly This has to be the biggest non story since the presidential election itself!

@CianTracey1 @BarryMurphyHG Lyra is going to be a tough act to follow for him.
English

The one and only Barry Murphy will sing Ireland’s Call at Soldier Field on Saturday.
All going well, he’ll then sing Amhrán na bhFiann and IC for all three home November games.
Here’s an enjoyable chat with @BarryMurphyHG about the honour of a lifetime.

@PlayerGaelic In underage LGFA, I tell players that the ball carrier has to have one easy pass, approx 8 to 10 meters max. So dont all run away expecting a wonder pass, 1 easy pass (she may not use) and 2 or 3 harder options - gis getting into space at 20, 30 meters.
English

@m_brosnan Not to mention that they only play in Croke Park! I'll bet the Vikings would be favourites if they got to play in Walsh Park!
English

@PlayerGaelic Is thos not what the LGFA already have, Coaching the tackle, perfecting the kick etc. All done with a demo group of players. Which is often the hardest part to get.
English

@KarolDillon8 Is it not that 74% of long kick outs were retained. 76% of LKOs were contested, so 24% were not contested, so we assume they were all retained, then 50% of LKOs were contested and retained so 74% of LKOs were retained. Or am I reading that wrong?
English

@PlayerGaelic Teaching properly hook kicking technique would be a key one for me. It's counter intuitive that you would point your toe in the opposite direction from where you want the ball to go, but pictures of Shane Walsh or David Clifford just after kicking the ball proves the point.
English

@WestKerrylad @m_brosnan Is the best team not the team that has depth and can bring on subs to finish games out, have lads who can step up when players get injured. The team is a team of about 45/50 now not the best 15 players on paper.
English

@m_brosnan I like Jarlath but thats disappointing.
We are getting to the point that its not the best team that will win but that can absorb the most injuries.
English

@GaynorBrian @m_brosnan @CathalMDuffy 3 sports mentioned in your bio and not one of them hurling...and yet you know more than the president of the Association on the state of the game. If people like yourself love the sport so much, the Dallas Cowboys, Man U. and Munster should be able to make some head space for it.
English

@m_brosnan @CathalMDuffy Hmmm... This isn't how debate works..
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Says the fella cherry picking...
Less TV coverage, less column inches, competing against professional sports at their finishing stages..
But yeah... Keep telling me about surveys...
English

@ihatemogs @m_brosnan Well journalists, pundits, presenters, managers, back room staff, anyone making a living off the sport would have an interest in seeing the season drawn out, the majority of which, id guess (may be wrong) take little notice of club or would happily sacrifice it for more money.
English

@EwanMacKenna @Richyfarrissey No, they are pretty skilled at tackling properly and not giving away frees. Contact in an attempt to tackle properly is not a free. In that example she had no chance of tackling properly and ploughed into the back of the shooter. 100% though, the game needs more contact.
English

I'm trying. I'm literally watching women's football. And that's a penalty against Kildare? And not one Kildare player surrounded ref or lost plot over being cheated. The pundits shrugged. If they don't care why do I? I'm trying to analyse this with equality. And it's a joke. #gaa
English

@TheSundayGame A game with a tackle about every 3 to 5 seconds but has no definition for what a tackle is should be easy enough to referee surely. They should just go down the Ultimate Frisby route and have no ref and the players decide themselves if there was a foul over a joint.
English

"One of the biggest problems that we have in the game is the standard of refereeing"
Dónal Óg Cusack discusses what could be done to up the standard of officiating in hurling

@m_brosnan This is being looked at the wrong way round, the ability to keep 11 defenders is fair and retains the spectacle at one end of the pitch but the offending team have a big disadvantage to be able to score at the other end or transition quickly at least.
English

Would you like to see any rule changes, Jim?
