@Saturn_Kat Well, because ultimately there is some inner conflict within Komamura; he wasn't able to cut down Tosen. It's not to the level of, say, Soi Fon or Byakuya, but for a moment Komamura acknowledged the strength of his appreciation for Tosen and couldn't carry the endeavor

to me byakuya is an interesting character bc he consistently shows that he's never had to earn the responsibility or authority he has. He's been able to coast on immense natural talent, but when it comes to things that take effort-- keeping his promise to hisana, leading the 6th,

@Saturn_Kat He did indeed come to sympathize with some of Tosen's rhetoric but, as Komamura admits after Tosen gives his "To live without avenging the dead is vice" speech, their views were irreconcilable and he had no choice but to kill him; again, his main character flaw
