To only subtitle ASL is overtly ableist. All films should consider the millions of D/deaf/HOH ppl who are excluded without OPEN CAPTIONS. Hoping #AQuietPlace2 and #Eternals will step up. Insist on it #JohnKrasinski and #ChloéZhao. That would truly be a #Marvel.

I think that A QUIET PLACE II should adopt the same captioning practice as SOUND OF METAL, where all English and ASL dialogue scenes are subtitled. I still can’t believe I had to go to a captioned screening for A QUIET PLACE because the English dialogue scenes aren’t subtitled
