Day 3 of launch and HumanLayer has already grown to 220+ contributors. Today, we are activating the next core layer of the platform by assigning our first 10 reviewers, who will serve as the primary quality control layer across HumanLayer. These reviewers are not just contributors with a different title. They are a critical part of the platform’s operating system. Their role is to review output quality, validate completed tasks, help detect weak or inaccurate submissions, and ensure that the overall standard of work across HumanLayer remains high as the network scales. Because reviewer performance has a direct impact on platform quality, trust, and payout integrity, they will be our highest-paid contributors. This is by design. HumanLayer is being built with clear incentive alignment, where greater responsibility, stronger judgment, and higher-value platform functions are rewarded accordingly. This is a major milestone because it pushes HumanLayer beyond simple contributor onboarding and into a more mature workflow structure with real quality assurance, reviewer economics, and operational layering. Step by step, we are building the core infrastructure for a crypto-native AI training platform that can scale with both quality and speed.

Projects benefit by getting access to a global contributor layer for AI training, review, and evaluation. As for price, free access for users does not kill value. The token only matters if it sits inside the platform’s economic loop, such as campaign funding, premium access, staking, or fee capture. If there is real usage and real demand flowing through HumanLayer, the value can still accrue without making the product unusable through hard token gates.

HumanLayer is now integrated with @sumsub. Going forward, users will need to complete KYC before withdrawals can be processed. This is an important step in protecting the platform, reducing sybil activity, and making sure rewards go to real participants. HumanLayer more than doubled today, growing from 77 contributors earlier to over 180 and still climbing. The momentum is real, and we are building HumanLayer to become the blueprint for how human contributors power the next generation of AI.

One category of work that will remain limited and not widely visible to everyone is reviewer roles. These opportunities are more selective by design, so they will be hidden from most users and opened only to a smaller group of contributors. To keep access fair, we will be using a raffle-based selection process to choose reviewers from eligible participants. Reviewer tasks are higher-value than standard microtasks, with payouts around $10 per job. As HumanLayer grows, these roles will become an important part of the platform for contributors who want access to more rewarding work. The goal is to make sure reviewer opportunities go to qualified users while still giving the wider community a fair chance to be selected.
