Push ups are free. Pull ups are free. Lunges are free. Walking is free. It’s not a money issue. It’s just that you keep making excuses.

75 miles A Personal Best Had to dig deep in this one I go into these events not to “win” but to go to places within myself that I’ve never been. It took 18 hours and 75 miles to get there. While my body was not able to go another 100ft… my spirit was content with my efforts knowing I truly left everything I had out there. A mindset …. Do not run from adversity! Do not run from the pain! When it comes.. see it as a great opportunity to strengthen resolve and to grow in endurance! I do not look to avoid such pain… the closer I am to it the more real it all feels. It’s here when I am completely broken that I feel completely open to the Lord. I can’t explain it perfectly as it must be experienced… and when you’ve been— you know. Whether it be by running 75 miles, sitting in total darkness for 5 days or losing my best friend… When I’m completely broken…. it’s in these hard moments I get the chance to experience the fullness of life and Jesus’s love for me. The good and the growth that comes with it. The sad and the bad. I’m here for it all. On the grand scheme… “it’s just running” but it was deeply meaningful to me to be out there.

I’m running the Chicago marathon in a little under 10 weeks time…with the BIG GOAL of breaking the 3 hour barrier. I’m excited to try my hand at sub 3 again and experience the spectacle that is the Chicago Marathon… But most importantly — I’m honored to be running for such an incredible cause: Good Sports. I’m sure many can relate…but I would not be the man I am today without sports. Wrestling and football gave me opportunities I could’ve never dreamed of. The memories made and lessons learned on the mat and the field will stay with me for the rest of my life. All of this…makes running for Good Sports even more meaningful. They make sure that kids of all ages from high need communities are given access to sports…creating opportunities to experience all the incredible things sports have to offer. If you’d like to donate to their amazing mission & help support my ability to run Chicago — you can do so through the link below Thank you SO MUCH in advance. I’ll be back on daily documentation of my prep in 3 places: 1- Here :) 2- TikTok 3- Strava Links to each will be below as well
