India has a 70,000Km Railway network. To bring it under Kavach, the total outlay required is close to 1Lakh crore. Total expenses done so far have been around 450Cr. Three things: [1] Over-marketing is always bad. The way it was done for Kavach. [2] Media should have highlighted such facts earlier (but, unfortunately, most media has been sold out). [3] Calling for the resignation of the Railway Minister solves nothing. Like it or not, he is one of the most qualified person to run the show. Larger problem is: there is only a handful of people left, who can even raise questions. Without even raising any questions, how can you even find solutions? But, unfortunately, we live in times, when anyone even tries to highlight a problem: policy, economics, any problem--- the entire sold out media comes after them. And, massive trolling starts (even on Twitter). In all this non-sense, common people pay the price. Please stop worshiping Politicians. Senseless defence/attacks on them won't get you a party ticket! Worry about things like independent judiciary, independent media and government overreach. All these things have a direct impact on YOUR life! [This tweet changes nothing, but let me try]
