My students have *LOVED* taking a break from the tech and illustrating full color graffiti pages to correspond with their take-home reading assignments. Only requirements: 2 big mages, 2 big words, 4 key quotes (w/ page numbers). Here’s Gatsby and 1984! #sunchat

The more I teach the more I believe that flexibility is a magic bullet when it comes to easing student anxiety &, in turn, increasing achievement & success. Every. Single. Time. Flexibility puts kids at ease & gives them a sense of control. It brings humanity to education.

While driving on the highway earlier today, I had a tire blow out. I was able to pull over to the side but was paralyzed w/ fear by speeding traffic. As I’m talking to my insurance for roadside assistance, a complete stranger pulled over and put the spare on for me.
