Evening viewing recommendation? On @criterionchannl, watch the WALL STREET (1987) in our Corporate Thrillers collection! The ultimate portrait of ’80s corporate excess, Oliver Stone’s hard-hitting, brilliantly entertaining film — starring Michael Douglas, Charlie Sheen, and Martin Sheen — captures the moral emptiness behind the era’s “greed is good” mentality.

Millennials watched their parents lose everything in 2008. Then got handed $100K in student debt. Then got called entitled for wanting a living wage. Then survived a pandemic in our prime years. Then got priced out of every neighborhood we grew up in. And y’all really wonder why we’re not okay? We’ve been in survival mode for 20 years straight and nobody even noticed.

Just laid up in bed on the weekend, throwing on some old-school sci-fi action… feels right. Sundays were made for this. #NowWatching: Judge Dredd (1995)

"It’s the moment that really encapsulates the tone of the film.” Empire sat down with Steven Spielberg to uncover his favourite shots and sequences from his iconic sci-fi films, starting with his seminal 1977 classic Close Encounters Of The Third Kind.

@BlazeBinges It’s phenomenal… until you reach season 6. Then there’s a significantly unwarranted tonal shift.

Quentin Tarantino visits Video Archives. In 1994, Quentin Tarantino visited the video store in Manhattan Beach, Los Angeles, where he worked for 5 years (from 1984 to 1990). That’s where he met his collaborator and co-writer Roger Avary and soaked up B-movies, exploitation flicks, and classics that would shape his style and approach to cinema. In this clip from the BBC documentary ‘Quentin Tarantino: Hollywood’s Boy Wonder’ (1994), aired to coincide with Pulp Fiction’s theatrical release, Tarantino returns to his old “cinema temple” for a tour of the place where he worked for so many years.

Not to be THAT dictionary, but… It’s ‘per se,’ not ‘per say.’ It’s ‘dog-eat-dog world,’ not ‘doggy-dog world.’ It’s ‘hunger pangs,’ not ‘hunger pains.’ It’s ‘one and the same,’ not ‘one in the same.’ It's 'buck naked,' not 'butt naked.'
